Grace Travelers

..and curse those who curse Israel.  Does this covenant still apply today?  Should America bless or curse Israel?  Should the Church bless or curse Israel? What does the bible say? Did this covenant end with the death of Jacob?  Listen in as we unpack these questions and more.

When Jesus returns His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem—the very place He ascended back to heaven (Zechariah 14; Acts 1:12).  Isaiah 45 encourages us with God's statement, “I am the LORD, and there is none else. “I have not spoken in secret, In some dark land; I did not say to the offspring of Jacob, ‘Seek Me in a waste place’; I, the LORD, speak righteousness, Declaring things that are upright. At times God's plan might seem improbable but have faith.

God used an idolatrous King’s country to subdue, conquer, and take captive Israel and Judah for 70 years because of their failure to follow God’s commands; specifically the land sabbath and idolatry.  Like Israel, do we deserve a period of captivity? or conversely, do we deserve to be delivered or kept from captivity?  We look more like the people in Noah’s day where their every thought was evil. We cannot unify the whole country under one political umbrella.  Everyone must first be brought to the foot of the cross and then under God we can be united.  There is none that are righteous.   We have two countries on the land formally known as the United States of America.  Each has widely divergent views on what is good and what the structure should be. 

What god is there who can deliver you out of my hands?

"Is it true that you do not serve my gods or worship the golden image that I have set up?" This is the challenge from our governor, our king. Travel back with me to 584 b.c. where 3 young men were given this very challenge from the king.

The children of God are having their faith challenged more than ever. How do we respond?

 

Not all people are children of God - some are children of Satan. How do we tell the difference? 1 John 3 helps us sort this out.

Ever wonder why some Believers' lives are marked with blessing, peace, and favor while others are marked by chaos and constant calamity?  The Believer desires the characteristics of the upright, sees the difference, and applies the effort to acquire them.  The slack in faith will remain an infant and live under God’s discipline. Proverbs 12 contrasts the difference between the upright versus the wicked. Let's see what God says about this rather than listening to man's traditions.

Can these be true?  A sinner is a sacred thing.  The sinner is the gospel's reason for existence.  The inn of mercy never closes its doors.  The law is for the self-righteous, to humble their pride:  The gospel is for the lost, to remove their despair.  Join us as we examine Romans 4.

How do we get in the way of these with our ideas about God? Is the problem with Christianity the Christians...or God? Has God's grace and mercy been distorted to mean something other than it really is?

Some are pruned so as to bear more fruit.  Some are pruned because they are dead branches. The purpose of pruning is to cause the branches that are bearing some fruit to thrive and bear much fruit.  During this Covid shutdown, activities have been forcibly pruned from our lives. It's a great time to examine what should be pruned and what should be added in to our lives.

What kind of crazy message is this?  ..follow Him but hate your family and yourself?!  It seems crazy because of the word hate. Jesus told us not to hate our brother but now He is telling us to??  Ya just gotta listen.  It will be worth it.
