Two More Attributes of Kingship: Power and Pardon. Jesus exhibited power over defilement, distance, disease, over the sea and the wind, over demons, over death, over blindness, over muteness.  A king can also withhold His power. 

He also exercised true deity in pardoning sinners. Likewise, You and I were once criminals.  Have you received His pardon?  Just gotta ask.  Are you happy that He has pardoned that prickly neighbor of yours?  I hope so.  Often not.

I’ve got news for you.  Jesus didn’t come to take political sides, He came to take over!

~Jesus isn’t part of a political platform. He isn’t an allowed activity by govt. Gov doesn’t give Him permission to be worshipped.  Jesus isn’t one of your civil rights!  He came to take over!

~He didn’t come to be ‘one of many ways’ to spiritual enlightenment.  He came to take over!

~Jesus didn’t come to be an activity on Sunday mornings for you.  He came to take over!

Discernment is a spiritual gift that is absolutely necessary for the church.  Somebody in each local church better have it.  All Believers can have an amount of spiritual discernment, some have it as a spiritual gift.  Listen in to find out what it is and who has it.

A tremendous amount of religious and political infrastructure has to be created before an insurrection happens.  Injustice must become so great that people just can’t stand for it anymore.  The established rule will feign offense while underhandedly working against justice.  They will pervert established law to create a means to their desired end.  There is nothing new under the sun.  

Let’s look at the historical ‘Make Jerusalem Great Again’ campaign.

We are tasked to speak in Christ and of Christ.  —Regardless of the social climate.  Christians are smelly and the people in the world are the smellers.  What are they smelling on us? Do you have a fragrance?  Yes!  You do. 

We are spritzers of Christ-fragrance. 2 Corinthians 2:14-17

Back in 1000 B.C., a scrawny young man came up to his nation's army hiding in fear of a loud-mouthed giant. They were frozen.

 

This young man decided this was young to be the day of action. He had character (1 Samuel 17).

 

The battle is the Lord's but He uses people. Someone had to speak. Throw the stone. The difference between "..one day I'm gonna.." and "...this is the day..." 

 

Speak your faith to the giants.

What? The Baby Jesus? Yes! Prophesied by Simeon who was searching and waiting on the Messiah to show up. Are you? 

 

The Spirit guided him to the temple at the very moment when the Virgin was about to present Him to the Lord.

The Hope of Christmas. Prophecies foretold of the Deliverer that would be born in a specific town, of a specific tribe, who would be eternally existent. These prophecies go beyond that event 2000 years ago to a time yet future. This week we look at the prophecy of Micah.

TYRANNY is the Arbitrary or despotic exercise of power; the exercise of power over subjects and others with a rigor not authorized by law or justice, or not requisite for the purposes of government.  Isaiah prophesied about it and what God would do about it. The Pharisees were teachers of the law but they went beyond the boundaries and became tyrannical.  Many of our current leaders are going beyond the law and constitution.  What does Jesus have to say to us?

Is the institution of family important to a society or is it of no consequence?  Christians believe strongly that it is important—but can you answer why?  Listen in and you will be equipped.  Grace and peace to you!
