The church today doesn’t look like the early church in many ways. Does it matter? What did Jesus say for us to do? Go, Make Disciples, Baptize, Be His Witnesses. He didn’t specify one format or way or structure. He described the spiritual look of it, not the physical.
By studying the way God acted in history, we become attuned to the ways God is active among us today. We must be sensitive to the way the Spirit moves in our midst and in the world to join in the mission. The local church is our home base we start from. It was miraculously born in 30 A.D. and Acts details this exciting time! Come along the journey with us.
Grace is the Change-Agent
God’s Grace is the solution to this; God’s empowering presence… Grace IS NOT permission to stay as you are. Grace says you are accepted.
Grace is the method of divine dealing in salvation and in the believer’s life and service. As saved, he is “not under law but under grace” (Rom 6:14).
We have been given free will. Therefore, we make choices. Do we ever think in advance about the choices? The outcomes? There is a process to this. In each choice there is an opposing choice. Choose Love, counter is Hate. etc. One builds, one destroys.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control;” Gal 5:22,23
