Heaven is my Home > I'm here Recruiting
Sunday Jun 30, 2024
Sunday Jun 30, 2024
The apostles and disciples followed Jesus. They ate together. They worshipped and prayed together. They recruited others to join. When someone became a believer they wanted to be part of that group. To go where they go, do what they do.
Social Media knows this about us. Humans are part of groups; people with same interests. The average American adult is active in 3.51 groups, and the average person spends 6.54 hours per week in group activities.
Who are you recruiting for? Who or what do you talk about? What does your group do/talk?
Are we the Influencer or Influenced? We’re both. How much of your life is involved with Jesus? The power of the world pulls many people out of church, away from Jesus.

Our Plans Are So Small

In Revelation 5, we see God on the throne holding a scroll with seven seals, we have God the Son as the lamb who was slain, and we have the 7 spirits of God which are a reference to the Holy Spirit in the perfection of His manifold ministry. All 3 are present and working in concert; the Trinity.
What is the significance of the scroll? .. and why is Jesus the only one that can open it. .. oh, and why is John crying when he sees the scroll?
Why would this upset John? This scroll holds the future plans of God. It has to be opened. The future cannot continue until the scroll is opened.
John did not know what was on this scroll. It is the Divine Will. It is the future of the church. It is one of the biblical milestones impacting human history… The opening of this scroll is something we have been waiting for 2000 yrs.

Doctrines of Demons

Sunday Jun 16, 2024
WHO HAS YOUR EAR AND YOUR HEART? Mankind has been searching for Truth since day one. We are either running to Jesus, or away from Jesus, or out in the weeds somewhere. If we find Him, we have found Truth. Meaning for life. And life eternal.
The bible tells us in the last days there will be massive deception. This is the 'why' of this message. A doctrine of demons opposes God’s doctrine. It is destructive. These doctrines develop spiritual disorder.
We'll present (only) 10 Lies the devil tells believers. We'll finish this message up with the bible verse that tells us how to successfully live during this period.

The Trinity Explained
Sunday Jun 09, 2024
Sunday Jun 09, 2024
Ever try to explain the Trinity to anyone? How’d it go? Difficult usually. You're not alone. Our bible concordance doesn't index Trinity either. As with many doctrines, understanding comes from the breadth of the Bible. Today we brush over numerous scriptures which expose the Godhead. We'll also give you the simple 3 point definition.
Why does proper belief in the Trinity matter? It’s a core belief of being a Christian. Wrong belief guts out the core of who God is. We should know whom we worship. Wrong belief leads into false religion or cults.

The Path of the Gospel

Sunday Jun 02, 2024
Yes, faithful witness brings great results.. and opposition. As the Acts of the Apostles grows and unfolds, the Gospel is sent out with Barnabus and Paul. From Antioch in modern day Syria to Antioch in modern day Turkey through the Island of Cyprus. Many people wanted to hear it. Because of the opposition raised along the way, God worked in miraculous ways. This message finishes up with a five-point list on being a Faithful Witness.

What caused Peter to start sinking while he was walking on the water? Does that same thing cause us to sink in the trials that come into our life? Jesus wants to see our faith. And when He does, amazing things can happen. Where should we have our eyes focused in life? Bob illuminates this passage with a powerful personal story. Listen in...

Acts 11 — This is such a heart-warming story. Inspirational. But it doesn’t seem to happen in this day and age. Why not? We (the church) aren’t living in Acts—We are living in Matt 24; 2 Tim 3; 1 Thess 4,5; 2 Thess 2; 2 Pe 3; Jude; Rev 3.
How bad are things now? Rise to the level of scripture? Yes. Then add in Israel!.
We are like the lifeboat as people are being swept away. This time we are living in isn’t the beginning of the church age. We are in the tail-end of the church age. It’s now a rescue operation more than a birthing operation.
Am I preaching defeat and hopelessness?
No way. More, DIRECTING OUR FOCUS

Whom We Worship
Sunday May 12, 2024
Sunday May 12, 2024
THEY’LL KNOW WE ARE CHRISTIANS by whom we worship.
In Acts 7 Stephen was preaching to the high priest and recounting the history of their people. He quoted Amos 5:25 wherein God chastised the people for carrying their idols with them. Who are these idols mentioned? Moloch was the Canaanite sun god and Rephan was a star god. The Jews were worshipping the sun, moon, and stars not God. Sadly, these gods are still being worshipped today.
God does not take kindly to idolatry in any form. IDOLS are not harmless trinkets. We’ve been shown the way. We've been convicted and offered Grace. Your Response? Are you worshipping idols? You might be surprised....

If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. That's it. Too often things are added to this in order to be saved.
What then do we say to and about those who are blatantly sinning after being saved?Transformation into Christ-likeness is the Spirit’s work.
Listen in as we open this discussion up of grace, fruit, flesh, and what it means to believe on the Lord Jesus.

Series: They'll Know We Are Christians
50 Days after Jesus ascended the Apostles were in a house preaching the Resurrection and that God had made Jesus both Lord and Christ. As the hearers witnessed the acts of the Holy Spirit arriving, they asked the apostles, “what shall we do?” The apostles answered, “Repent and be baptized”… and that day 3000 were baptized. Then further, the growth continued to 5000.
They were preaching the good news of the Lord Jesus, and the hand of the Lord was with them, and a large number who believed turned to the Lord. During this early preaching, Stephen witnessed to the Pharisees and was stoned to death. The new believers were scattered back to their own countries and their faithful witness continued to grow the new church.
What does it mean to repent? Listen in...
